The Uckfield Bowls Club is committed to protecting its members data and to be fully compliant with the GDPR.
The Uckfield Bowls Club recognises its legal obligation and is committed to ensure that any records and personal data held by the club on its members are kept secure.
Personal data will be used by the club to contact members and to provide information on events and other club matters. This will be done either on its web site or by email in a way that does not show the distribution list.
To enable members to contact each other, the club will, maintain a full membership list of its members on the UBC web site, which includes members name, phone numbers, email and home addresses. This list will be available to members via a password protected portal that will be restricted to members only. Members are specifically required not to distribute the lists any further or make them available to any third party.
Under no circumstances will the members list be supplied to companies or any third party without the express permission of the members contained in any list.
Members may request and shall be granted access to their record held by the club and may require that it be deleted or amended at any time.
In additional to personal data, a member attending a club event may be photographed, and this displayed on the web site. If such an occasion arises, only his or her name will appear on the web site, but no other personal detail.
Certain personal data is essential for the club to operate. This is known as Legitimate Interest. This data is used by the administration of the club for day to day operation, but is not available to anyone outside the management and administration. Such data will not be available or posted on the website, but kept secure by the club administration.
